India's capital Rises to Dangerous Haze After Celebrations

Tuesday brought citizens of this heavily contaminated metropolis encountered breathing severely hazardous air that was classified as the "alarming" level.

Around celebratory seasons, the amount of dangerous airborne contaminants in the atmosphere has been observed to increase dramatically to significantly exceeding the worst records ever documented in Beijing, which was once viewed as the globally most contaminated urban center.

Diverse Contamination Contributors

This crisis in the capital is attributed to a mix of various sources including transportation pollution, airborne particles, building projects, rubbish burning and pollutants from agricultural fires in nearby states of farming communities.

The pollution is projected to be accounting for 10,000 untimely mortalities each year in Delhi.
